Cheers to 2022 Weddings! As 2022 comes to an end, let’s look back at all the top 2022 wedding trends! Even though these trends are considered 2022 trends, don’t worry if you are head over heels in love with some of them. We are too! According to Brides.com, some of these trends will show up throughout 2023!
The biggest trend of 2022 was breaking tradition. Many of our couples have decided to opt out of doing the traditional bouquet and garter tosses. Brides.com makes a great point by calling this the “anti-trend” trend–breaking away from the traditions or standards of what a wedding is supposed to look like according to past expectations. Here at Judson Mill, we believe you should celebrate your big day your way with all the individualized touches that represent you as a couple. For some people, that means bucking the wedding trends of yesteryear and introducing their own ideas–and we love it! Within the wedding industry, we've seen many couples continue to break through wedding traditions in creative ways. One of those is the wedding timeline. This year, more couples opted for small, intimate ceremonies or elopements with bigger, reception-only celebrations afterward. Some coupled even chose to reverse or completely toss out the traditional timeline! Invitations, save the dates, and other traditional stationary has been swapped for electronic versions. Not only is this trend more green, eco-friendly, and sustainable, but it allows for more creative flexibility than your traditional invitations. Electronic invitations can be more budget-friendly, and RSVP's are much easier to track electronically. We will most likely be seeing this trend roll into 2023 with us. Another big change from tradition has been the use of nontraditional guest books. For ideas on different guest books look back to our previous blog called "Guest Book Inspiration," which is filled with creative, nontraditional guest book inspo!
